Project Background
We have 60 students that we are going to be bringing into the outdoors to study significant content. 60 students can create a huge problem to the local wildlife while trying to interact with the environment. In this project, students will uncover the different levels of the ecosystem that they impact while understanding key math and science concepts. In addition, students will learn key investigative processes and skills while uncovering the effects that student groups can have on the environment.
Furthermore, Hamilton High School has a wetland that many school groups use for educational purposes. However, the high school wetland is not currently managed to limit the impact school groups have on it. Over the past years, evidence of these impacts have shown a true need for this type of management. This project will allow our students to serve a need within our school community!
